Coordinates and is responsible for facilitating and implementing process and systems for monitoring materials and inventory control for Perioperative Services. Responsibilities include management of materials acquisition, receiving, and distribution, utilizing the perioperative automated clinical information and management system and the material management automated information system, and coordination of end of year inventory for Perioperative Services. Serves as a liaison between Materials Management, Sterile Processing Department, and Perioperative Services to insure effective and efficient management of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Associate Degree in Business or related field required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Materials Management required. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents required. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations required. Must be independent and self-motivated. Medical Terminology Course, Member of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and Certified Materials & Resource Professional Certification (CMRP) preferred.
