    Responsibilities

    Provides continuous EKG monitoring, and interpretation of the rhythms, including lethal arrhythmias. Notify appropriate staff of arrhythmias. Oversee the care, maintenance and tracking of telemetry equipment and servicing.  Report any problems with telemetry equipment to the Telemetry Manager and/or the Bio Med Department. 

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Rhythm Recognition Course Certificate required.  Successful completion of the CMH Telemetry Technician competency within 3 months of hire required.  Minimum of six (6) months telemetry monitoring experience, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification and good communication/problem solving skills preferred.
