    Responsibilities

    The Organizational & Leadership Development Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and assessing organizational development effectiveness, change management objectives and high-impact leadership development programs for CMHS.  The Trainer influences organizational initiatives by providing innovative approaches to change management through leadership and staff education and training.  This position partners with CMHS Leadership and serves as a liaison among departmental management to identify organizational and employee training and development needs, and works collaboratively in the development and/or approval of training content, methods, materials, and the overall successful execution of these programs.      

     

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    1. Plans, designs, implements, and evaluates organizational development effectiveness, change management initiatives, and provides direction, training and counsel to all levels of CMHS staff, management and leadership. Designs, redesigns, customizes and enhances existing programs to develop CMHS management and leadership.
    2. Lends expertise to the development and implementation of leadership and career programs/processes. Provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring to CMHS management to support management effectiveness, leadership development and the successful design of appropriate personal development plans for their staff.
    3. Provides expertise, best practices and consulting in the areas of organizational design, employee engagement, staff development, teambuilding and strategic planning.
    4. Manages the activities involved with the assessment, development, preparation, and delivery of training and development programs for CMHS.
    5. Develops and/or approves content, methods, and materials for training staff and conducts courses as needed. Facilitates workshops, off-sites, focus groups, and programs as appropriate.
    6. Promotes staff development and maximizes succession planning through the tracking of diverse skill-sets and human capital throughout the organization.
    7. Directs and manages interdepartmental committees, and supervises the design and implementation of their programs intended to promote improved customer service and workforce performance through professional development, rewards, and recognition for employees and interdepartmental business process improvements.
    8. Aligns leadership development, performance management, and other initiatives with identified short, mid- and long-term business goal.
    9. Develops methods for evaluation of program effectiveness.

    Qualifications

    Master’s Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Human Resources or related field required.  Minimum of five (5) years related organizational development and training experience, which include leading and facilitating classes, meetings, focus groups and other working sessions that promote engagement, education and staff development required.  Prior experience planning and managing large interdepartmental projects and initiatives which engage leadership at all levels and CPLP or APTD certification preferred.  Prior organizational development and training experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
