Ojai Valley Community Hospital, an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs. In addition, we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

Provides professional sterilization and decontamination services to patient care departments that require reprocessing of instruments and equipment. Demonstrates proper procedures for cleaning, decontaminating, and disassembly of instruments and equipment. Records sterilization logs completely and accurately which includes mechanical printouts, lot labels and all testing procedures performed. Demonstrates proper procedures and knowledge for operating the sterilizers and instrument washers within the guidelines of the manufacturers. Ability to prepare instruments and instrument trays for sterilization following procedures for wrapping, peel packaging, containers and labeling accordingly. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum of one (1) year Sterile Processing or Healthcare experience required. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred. Position requireds "call", must be able to repond within 30 minutes.
