    Ojai Valley Community Hospital an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs.  In addition we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

    Responsibilities

    One (1) Full-time Position (May include nights and/or weekends)

     

    The Patient Access Lead assists the Patient Access Supervisor with the overall operations of the Patient Access Department.  This includes, but not limited to pre-registrations, registrations, admissions, insurance verification, POS collections, financial counseling, training and regulatory compliance. This position will work in harmony with clinical staff to ensure each patient is given the highest level of customer service and every staff member is treated with the utmost respect.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Three (3) or more years patient access experience in a hospital setting
    • Previous experience with health insurance programs and eligibility
    • Previous experience with state and federal financial assistance programs

     

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • One (1) or more years of supervisory experience
