Ojai Valley Community Hospital, an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital, is a 25 bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs. In addition we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

Directs and manages the Environmental Services program to ensure clean, disinfected, orderly and attractive conditions of establishment by performing duties personally or directing job tasks through department employees. Creates schedules, reviews process and advices on ways to improve the services provided to patients, visitors and other departments. Assists with the review of staffing levels. Inspects, audits, and evaluates job tasks for the EVS employees. Ensures the EVS employees utilize the Bed Tracking System. Works closely with nursing staff to overturn rooms and follow through with requested job tasks. Trains, coaches and in-services staff as necessary. Communicates to the Engineering department any equipment repairs needed. Occasionally works as part of the cleaning crew, during floods, cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms. Responsible for the ordering of supplies needed for the daily EVS operations.
High School Diploma or GED required. A combination of college, technical or other education or equivalent experience equal to a minimum of five years preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory role is required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience in a hospital environment preferred.
