Ojai Valley Community Hospital, an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital, is a 25 bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs. In addition we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

Provides procedural assistance to physician in the cardiovascular, special procedures and electrophysiology areas by performing both scrubbing and monitoring functions. Assists in the cardiovascular lab procedures by using principles of asepsis; gowning/gloving, handling of sterile supplies, correct hat and mask coverage. Proper sterile tray set up, medication or solution labels (including med name, strength & amount) verified verbally and visually by scrub and nurse. Preparation of the patient by proper skin prep, draping and setting up of pressure lines. Proper tray breakdown, trash/linen disposal, clean tray pick up procedures and room clean procedures. Assists in the cardiovascular lab procedures by performing physiologic monitoring duties including but not limited to connect patient to monitoring equipment, setting up of pressure lines, documenting equipment used in the procedure, documenting medications and effects, generating reports and troubleshooting monitoring equipment.
Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school for Cardiovascular Technology required. Current ACLS & BLS certifications required. Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and cardiovascular anatomy, RCIS certification and advanced computer skills preferred.
