    Responsibilities

    Coordinates and is responsible for facilitating and implementing the Surgical Case Cart process and systems. Responsible for monitoring materials and inventory control for Perioperative Services.  Responsibilities include management of materials acquisition, receiving, and distribution, utilizing the case cart process, perioperative automated clinical information/management system and the material management automated information system. Serves as a liaison between Materials Management, Sterile Processing Department, and Perioperative Services. Assists with Perioperative Care Tech duties as needed. Ensures effective and efficient management of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • Two (2) years of related experience/training in a surgical setting
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Basic computer skills

    Preferred:

    • Associate’s degree from two-year college or technical school
    • Knowledge of supply chain/Lean management
    • Previous Scrub Tech/Case cart assembly experience
    • Medical terminology
