    Ojai Valley Community Hospital, an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility.     The Compensation Analyst is responsible for ensuring overall pay competitiveness at CMHS.  Reviews salary changes and contingent offers submitted by management to ensure internal equity is maintained.  Researches and makes recommendations for salary grades to new positions and develops/maintains job descriptions.  Researches inquiries regarding salary changes and provides recommendations on adjustments.  Participates in industry wide compensation surveys as required.   Handles annual increase cycles for staff and management, and performs detailed market analysis to ensure CMHS is able to recruit and retain quality staff.  Ensures CMHS remains compliant with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs in all compensation practices.


    Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.   Three (3) years minimum experience performing compensation analysis required.  Previous healthcare compensation experience highly preferred.  Advanced user of MS Excel required (including Vlookups, Pivot Tables and managing large spreadsheets for labor costing and analysis).  Proficient in other MS Office programs including Word, Power Point, and Outlook.  Thorough knowledge and understanding of California and Federal labor laws required.   Excellent communication and project management skills.  Ability to work independently in an environment with frequent competing deadlines.  Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and current Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
